Coverage details

This Business Owners Policy for photographers provides three types of coverage:

Property

Covers your building and what you keep inside it: equipment, furnishings, props and anything you keep on hand or for your clients.

Business Interruption

If your building has a fire, break in or other event that disrupts your business operations, this portion of the policy makes up for lost income.

Liability

If someone is injured at your studio, this portion of a BOP pays the cost of defending your business in a lawsuit, including paying damages for personal injury and property damage.

Don’t forget this important exposure

Along with a Business Owners Policy for photographers, consider buying General Liability Insurance. It protects against costs related to bodily injury and property liability that occur while you are shooting on location. It also includes liability for personal and advertising injury.

Along with the financial protection this coverage offers, most major venues require photographers to have General Liability coverage.

Coverage is provided by AIX Specialty (“AIX”), a Hanover Insurance company.

Coverage may not be available in all states and is subject to actual policy terms and conditions. AIX is an excess/surplus lines insurer which is not licensed by or subject to the supervision of the insurance department of your state of residence. Policy coverage forms and rates are not subject to regulation by the insurance department of your state of residence. Excess/surplus lines insurers do not generally participate in state guaranty funds and therefore insureds are not protected by such funds in the event of the insurer's insolvency.

PPA Insurance Solutions is administered by Lockton Affinity, LLC d/b/a Lockton Affinity Insurance Brokers, LLC in California. Policy benefits are the sole obligation of the issuing insurance company. Lockton Affinity is not an agent of AIX because surplus lines insurers are not permitted to appoint insurance producers.
